On this year's Thanksgiving day, I am very thankful for my family and friends. And I'm grateful for every moment with our chihuahua, Snoopy, who was diagnosed with sudden serious illness this summer and now recovered.

The year of 2011 has brought us so many joy and happiness and some sad tragic events that I wished it was just a horrible nightmare. Nothing lasts forever. It's important to cherish every moment with thanks and gratitude. Don't take anything for granted. Even everyday 30 min. walk with your dog.

My mom is the best. mom. on the earth.

Beside being a great mother and wife, she is also an artist, painter, potter, seamstress, knitter, baker, cooker, teacher… on and on her list continues.

She taught me that I can be anything I want to be and that it's alright to be different from others (and being unique is best thing ever.) She always has a trust in me and has been the great supporter for anything I do.

I'm so grateful to have a mother like you. Thank you, mom.

Melrose + Sunday

One fine Sunday afternoon, we took a little walk to Melrose and went to the flea market. Believe or not, after moved to this neighborhood about 3years ago, this is my first flea market in LA!

I LOVE flea markets. Snoopy and I used to go every weekends in NYC. The most fun thing about visiting local flea markets is to dig out something special, something unique which nobody else has, and something you can treasure forever, for less than 10 bucks :)

What I found today were:
2 vinyl records ($1 ea.)
1 cactus picture book ($1)
+ 2 *free* books

I had a cool magazine rack (for a buck!) in my hand, but didn't get it because I didn't have a large shopping bag with me ... :(

Hollywood 2010: The Art of Motion Picture Costume Design @ FIDM

Last Saturday, finally I went to see Hollywood 2010: The Art of Motion Picture Costume Design at my school, FIDM on the last day of the exhibition. No photo or video allowed there, so I just tried to remember all the details and stitches of every costumes. They're all so breathtakingly beautiful and amazing craftsmanship.

There were so many different varieties of costumes from the historical films such as The Young Victoria to modern hero-action flicks like Watchmen. But my most favorite ones from this year's exhibition was Where The Wild Thing Are. Oh my, those creatures looked so real. As I was starring at them for long time, I could believe that they would be moving around and trying to eat me in any seconds! I wish I could hug these creatures and take all home with me.

My friends from NY sent me this cutest & coolest doggie toys for Snoopy. It's called "Sushi Pups." So cute :-)

A piece of tuna fish sashimi and a little bit of wasabi on the rice ball, wrapped with a seaweed! Looks very real. So cool. Whoever came up with this idea is so GENIUS! I luv it!

Snoopy has a lot of toys, but he plays with a few of his favorites. He is very picky about what he likes and dislike. So I wasn't sure if he would actually play with these sushi toys... But as soon as I opened the package, he just went crazy for these sushi!!!!

Snoopy loves the tuna sushi...just like his mom :-)

Belle is Snoopy's little cousin, Auntie Em's chihuahua. She just turned 2 years old. Since they live in Japan, we haven't seen this little creature in person yet. We hope someday Snoopy can play with her.

Don't ask me it's true or not... but my mom said that Belle choose her outfit of the day when she's going out. Of course, Belle 's favorite is her Aunt's Pink Polka Dog! Believe or not, my mom, who is now the #1 fan of Belle, used to be scared and terrified of any little furry animals, including Belle. She's the only person, who didn't want to have any pet in the house. But it wasn't so hard to love a little creature after all.

When Emi named her Chihuahua, Belle, we didn't know but the real Snoopy (from the cartoon) have a sister named Belle! Emi and I were really surprised when our friends told me about it.

From what I heard, She's really hyper pup, who likes to play. On the other hand, Snoopy's real mellow kind of guy. But I'm sure that they'll be great best friends.

Snoopy and I just came back home from the trip to Pet Fashion Week in NY.

I must say... it was fantastic! It was Pink Polka Dog's first tradeshow/fashion show ever, but Snoopy and I had enojoyed every single seconds of it, meeting new clients, seeing the latest pet trends and getting lots of media exposures.
